Does Anyone Remember The Movie BLACK MOON RISING ?

I mentation it was all about this HYDROGEN POWERED FUTURE CAR. It was made of super light super strong kevlar material, and it had a rocket booster mechanism for top speed. This was a Tommy Lee Jones movie. I'm pretty sure it came out in the early 80's

Question About Car Alternators?

in a car the alternator of course produces a current to charge the battery, but as a typical car battery is 12V, does this mean there is a voltage of 12V across the alternator?

also, is the alternator always on? or does it set right itself

Hydrogen powered car research

Hydrogen-powered cars that do not befoul the environment are a step closer thanks to a new discovery by scientists in the University of Bath ...

Leicester is chosen as first city to trial hydrogen-powered cars

Hugo Spowers, Riversimple's establisher, believes that the days of cars as we know them are numbered.

"We are delighted to have found in Leicester a city which realised that the goals of sustainable paradise means that words have to be turned into actions," said Mr Spowers.

"By signing this deal, we will both become pioneers.

"The age of fossil-fuelled cars may not be over yet, but it is solidly dying.

"Contrary to what we usually hear, sustainable, near pollution free, transmit is possible, here and now, using existing technology."

The car has been more than 11 years in the making.

It is powered by a fuel cubicle which converts hydrogen into electricity – producing no harmful exhaust emissions.

Designed by British motorsport engineers and built at Silverstone, it has a top cruising speed of 50mph, can go from 0 to 30mph in 5.5 seconds and has a range, on just one tank of hydrogen, of about 240 miles.

It weighs condign 350kg – a Ford Focus comes in at about 1,400kg – and Riversimple maintain it is able to do the equivalent of 300 miles a gallon.
