“We've Got Balls” – Robin And The Giant Urge For Alternative Fuels
16.06.10
The duo, comprised of Robin MacBlane and Larry Whitler, are large more associated with gentle folk songs for children and families than they are with songs that
make group commentary. Whitler insists, however, “this issue is all about the children and the world they will inherit so it
makes intuition for us to express our thoughts on this issue in the
best way we know how – through our music.”
MacBlane agrees, adding, “Robin And The Goliath have always made it a priority to stand up for the children. In fact, we released a song in 1989 titled ‘Step aside Up For The Children’ which was entered into the U.S. Congressional Record on October 4, 1989 by U.S. Congressman Clifford B. Stearns (Republican from Florida).” MacBlane continues by adding, “We’d be hypocrites if we didn’t rejoin to the Deepwater Horizon tragedy because in ‘Stand Up For The Children’ we say all children have a integrity to ‘a free world, a safe world, and a clean world’.”
