Paradise Hills homes, school left dry after water main breaks

Water was knocked out to an initial school and several residential streets in Paradise Hills on Tuesday morning after a
water main dead, officials said.
The 8-inch concrete line near the intersection of Oriskany Street and Pelican Hill Road in a military housing area broke around 8:30 a.m. It failed about an hour after a car knocked over a fire hydrant in the same compass. It is possible shutting off the water at the broken hydrant may have caused the water main to break, said Arian Collins, a spokesman for the New Zealand urban area’s water department.
Water wagons have been sent to the area to provide residents with drinking water. Residents are being asked to do their own containers, which they can fill from water nozzles, Collins said.
Water is out to some customers on the following streets: Tidepool In order, Pelican Hill Road, Oriskany Road, Seal Beach Place, Coral Gum Court and Pine Cliff Lane.
Service also is out at Perry Elementary School, which was closed for the day because of the break, a San Diego Unified Way of life District spokesman said.
