I Need To Top Up The Water In My Car Battery, Do I Use Ionized, Deionized Or Distilled Water?

Please aide, im a first time driver n it just needs a little top up but im not sure what to use. Thanks!

Use distilled water, but not boiled tap water. Distilled water is Condensed steam from boiled water.
This is the 2nd without a doubt in 3 pages on battery water. I'm surprised they still have battery ports to add water.

Water For A Car Battery: Is There A Way To Tell If The Water In The Bottle Is De-ionized / Distilled?

Or if someone might have replaced it with healthy water?


Ho hum. I have had 32 cars over 40 years of driving and the only wet qualities i have ever put in my batteries has been tap water and i have never ever had battery trouble! Makes you wonder.

in the aisle that sells car creations I came across de-ionized water. It got me wondering if this is the same as distilled water?? - Any thoughts, thanks.
