How To Improve The Mileage Of My 1996 Lancer GLXi?

Hi everyone... I desideratum help for my 1996 lancer GLXi (Manual) 1.6L Engine.. I just bought it last month, it has a setup for headers and mufflers and has a simota air drain.

My problem is the consumption of fuel... i think its only

What Are Some Ways To Improve Gas Mileage?

Please don't apprise me to drive slower...I want to know any improvements or modifications I can make to my car to actually improve it's gas mileage.

unreserved.
make sure your tires are at the manufacturers recommended pressures. typically anywhere from 34 to 40 psi works masterly.
freeflowing muffler/exhaust.
cold air intake/ K&N filter in stock airbox if no CAI.
accelerate

How Can I Improve Chevy Silverado 2500 W/Vortec 6000 Fuel Mileage?

We own several Chevy Silverado 2500 with Vortec 6000 gasoline engines. Working model years range from 2002 to 2005. We used to get 15 to 17 MPG. Now we get 10 MPG. Any tips on how to improve fossil mileage and get it back into the mid-teens?

Does A Cold Air Intake Really Improve Mileage?

I have a 2002 Chevrolet Prism with a 3 hurry automatic. I am disappointed with the highway mileage and am wondering if a cold air intake would be helpful. Any other suggestions?

For one's part I think cold air intakes are over rated. It might help a little bit but good driving habits will purloin a lot.

At a Mothers Against Drunk Driving event today along the Potomac waterfront, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood addressed the CARS, or Currency for Clunkers, program -- specifically the backlog of "clunker" rebates that have not yet been paid.

"Car dealerships are not complaining that they've sold 300,000 to 400,000 new automobiles!" LaHood said, adding, "The only judgement has not been from car buyers, or dealerships ... but from the sheer number of cars that have been sold; we haven't had the processing power" to use all the reimbursement applications.

The Washington Post wrote this morning that the National Highway Movement Safety Administration would be tripling its workforce to process the applications, and when asked about the timetable for this encourage, LaHood signaled that it would be implemented immediately, but could not specify how long it would take for the backlog to be cleared up.
