Covet gone are the bitter cold days, icy roadways and snowball fights of winter.
They’ve been replaced by accustomed warm-weather activities such as barbecues, picnics and, of course, swimming.
Area residents looking to keep unexcited this summer have plenty of options when it comes to aquatic fun. Many municipalities offer traditional outside community pools and other water activities, while a few have something new in store for 2010.
Peterson Pool, located at Westlake’s Clague Deposit, opened a little less than two weeks ago. This summertime hotspot takes the aquatic experience up a indentation with three big water slides that are perfect for thrill-seekers.
Membership is not included in residents’ relaxation center membership, but recreation center members do receive a 20 percent mark-down off the season pass rate.
