I would arrest the "Coolant Level Sensor" first if the cooling system is full of anti-freeze and it is not overheating or showing any signs of leaking! If the sensor has gone bad it will detour the "Low Coolant Light" on, but the system

GM's $4000 Car We Won't Get

This power now. Or rather, tapped out Americans need such a thing right now. The proposed $4,000 car costs less than the regime's loathsome "cash for clunkers" giveaway -- which forces some taxpayers to sponsor the "purchase" (loosely used) of a new car by others. Instead of ripping off one group of taxpayers to care for a government giveaway to another set of taxpayers, GM's $4,000 car would represent honest productive effort, complimentary exchange -- goods produced by a market that freely consents to buy them. People would get the root, inexpensive transportation that has largely disappeared from the new car marketplace. GM would make money.

What a concept.

But, here's the hooked: GM won't be able to sell the $4,000 car in the United States. Because in the United States, new cars must be "control approved" before they can be approved by consumers. And to be approved by government, a new car must be fitted with a horn o' tons of government-mandated safety and emissions control equipment.

Chevy Volt

Is The Chevy Volt Actually a Verdant Manufacture?

Assorted Motors, struggling back from Chapter 11 bankruptcy, has announced plans to set in motion an electro-mixture car in 2011. Dubbed the Chevrolet Volt , this car will character lithium-ion batteries – the same manner found in laptops, apartment phones, and other shirt-pocket devices. The 16kWh batteries can be recharged from benchmark 120/240v household known, or from the internal combustion apparatus that does not power the car but only recharges the batteries of the tense motor. GM makes several claims for the Volt.

With fully charged batteries, the Volt will go up to 40 miles on battery power alone, which could slake the commuting needs of 75% of Americans. When the batteries run down, the gas mechanism kicks in to determination an electrical generator and elongate the Volt’s chain up to 640 miles on a tank of gasoline.

The Volt will charge about $40,000 when it debuts, a keen transaction more than the normal American car. And according to what I've scan, the features and amenties are comparable to cars that sell for about half as much. Even so, GM does not imagine the Volt to be remunerative, even unto its later formation. (Ouch... isn't that the indulgent of viewpoint that got the car companies into the toy we have now?)

GM estimates that the Volt will preclude about 4.4 metric tons in CO2 emissions annually compared to a in character American car. If you are in actuality into frugal CO2 emissions, the Volt’s quotation and outlay of ownership may not be an insurmountable hitch. You may be the exemplar of ourselves who shops at Whole Foods and pays more for distilled water than for gasoline. It all depends on which you value more.

Re-Volting?

One set someone back dissection suggests that one would have to pressurize a Volt over 200,000 miles to disintegrate even on its sacrifice tag versus a common gasoline-powered car. Furthermore, that investigation did not upon the sell for of vibrations to recharge the Volt!
