Does Coasting In A Car Save Gas?

i was philosophical this. on my way home from where i work, there is a pretty long hill that i go down. i was wondering that, if i put it in neutral and coast down the hill would it (A) keep gas?, and (B) hurt my car going back into drive (at 45 mph)?

You will soup your transmission if you shift into drive at 45mph, kinda not supposed to do that. If you wana save gas, just dont accelerate, but there are other things to check into for to save gas. For example making sure your tire pressure is correct

This is one of those products that is all in your viewpoint, and does nothing. It doesn't matter how the air enters into the intake, its going to be at the same speed. This has been proved reverse by so many people, it even had an episode on "Mythbusters",

Does Putting Your Car In Neutral Save Gas?

I have an ineluctable 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue. If I put the car in neutral while driving does it save gas? Also, does it mutilate my car if a switch from neutral to drive frequently while driving?
