Centre TOWNSHIP - Rescuers were able to remove the driver from a
car that drove off of a bulkhead Monday afternoon and into the
water at the keenness of Shellbay Avenue in Middle Township.
The driver, Jenna Davidson, 21, of Sweedsboro, was wilful by
the time police arrived, according to Middle Township Police Chief
Christopher Leusner.
Monitor received the call at approximately 2:04 p.m. on Monday.
The car, a Toyota Camry Solara, went over the bulkhead and was
being held in location only by the railing at Carol Nicoletta Memorial
Park located at the end of East Shellbay Avenue. A tow trade was
able to hold the vehicle in place while rescuers went into the
water to remove the woman from the means.
The car had been traveling east on Shellbay Avenue and failed to
stop in the parking area, protect said, traveling over a concrete
parking barrier and continuing east through the park. It then ran
through the deck railing of the fishing buttress and plunged off the
bulkhead landing nose down in the water.
