Add Distilled Water In The Car Battery? Will It Damage The Battery Or Car If Add Tap Water Or Bottle Water?

Will it invoice the battery of a car/suv/pick-up if you add regular tap water or drinking bottle water? How do I know if battery needs water? Also How do I know how much to fill up if battery needs water? Thanks for all responses.

Ho hum. I have had 32 cars over 40 years of driving and the only wet rubbish i have ever put in my batteries has been tap water and i have never ever had battery trouble! Makes you wonder.

The other day, I was walking into the mall when I noticed a stocky, driverless, SUV parked, but idling, with two teenagers inside. When I returned, easliy an hour later, the same car was still there, still idling, still with the teenagers fundamentally. I'm guessing that they were idling the car to keep the AC on, but it was only about 65 degrees outside. I hope I'm not a fanatic about the environment, but I prefer helpless and very concerned in these situations. Is there a positive, friendly way to indicate to a stranger that prolonged car idling (or enormous supermarket plastic bag use - one onion in a small plastic bag and then in a larger plastic bag for example) should be avoided for the purposes of the environment? How can I encourage my neighbors to turn off their external house lights during the day? Can I ask the moving following in the next street to stop idling their vans without achieving the opposite outcome? I don't want to bully anyone - I'm definite these are all good people - I just really
